Here’s some news just in for all fans of Swedish melodic rock icons Treat. \u00a0http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/treatofficial<\/a><\/p>\n

“Swedish melodic rock legends Treat are celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2013 and now announces some mouthwatering news for all their fans.<\/p>\n

Treat releases a special 30th anniversary edition package, containg a best of-album with two brand new songs and two previously unreleased songs, and their latest album \u201cCoup de Grace\u201d, regarded as a masterpiece by Classic Rock Magazine and voted \u201cMelodic\u00a0rock album of the year 2010\u201d with an extra track.<\/p>\n

Treat also plans a big tour, that kicks off with some major festival gigs in the summer, and sees them rockin\u00b4on the road in to the autumn.<\/p>\n

Then it\u00b4s over.<\/p>\n

For good.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe have a saying in Sweden: You should always leave the party when you have the most fun\u201d, says guitarist and songwriter Anders Wikstr\u00f6m who formed the band back in 1983 together with singer Robert Ernlund.
\nSay what? Treat is breaking up!<\/p>\n

Treat has never been a more tight knit rock\u2019n\u2019roll unit than now, and the band is brimming with creativity and excitement. That\u00b4s why the band now chooses to call it a day; they want to, as they put it, \u201dend on a high note\u201d.
\n\u201dWe\u00b4re doin\u2019 it out of love and respect for our fans\u201d, Anders Wikstr\u00f6m says. \u201dWe quit before they ask us to get the hell out. We want Treat\u00b4s legacy to be pure rock\u00b4n\u00b4roll happiness!\u201d<\/p>\n

The decision to close down operation is most amicable, and kind of grew upon the five in the band, but when the decision was made, the band almost immediately started making plans for the farewell party next year.
\n\u201dWe\u00b4re going out with a bang and will give our fans a ride they didn\u00b4t even knew they wanted.\u201d, says Anders Wikstr\u00f6m.<\/p>\n

Treat, who released their classic debut album \u201dScratch and Bite\u201d back in 1985, now also introduces the new bass player Fredrik Thomander, who\u2019s for years been close to The Band Of Brothers that Treat are: Fredrik has been co-writing songs with the band, mixed \u201dCoup de Grace\u201d and has already done some gigs as a Treat Brother.<\/p>\n

Anders Wikstr\u00f6m (guitar and vocals), Robert Ernlund (lead vocals), Jamie Borger (drums), Patrick Appelgren (keyboards and vocals) and Fredrik Thomander (bass and vocals) take Sweden on a turbo charged rock\u00b4n\u00b4roll journey in 2013.
\nThere\u2019s many ways to say goodbye.<\/p>\n
