\"\"<\/a>Newcastle\u2019s favourite adopted Melburnian\u00a0JAMIE HAY<\/strong>\u00a0has been dedicated to music for a vast portion of his life. \u00a0From house shows, to huge festivals, international tours and regional youth centres, Jamie Hay has seen it all. Now the\u00a0Conation\/A Death In The Family\/Fear Like Us<\/strong>\u00a0vocalist opens a new chapter., with debut solo album\u00a0KING OF THE SUN<\/strong>\u00a0(out November 2) and a tour to accompany it.<\/p>\n

King of the Sun<\/em>\u00a0was recorded in the midst of a Tasmanian winter with friend and fellow performer\u00a0Lincoln Le Fevre<\/strong>. A swag of friends were invited to contribute, including Matt Bodiam (A Death in the Family<\/strong>), Adrian Lombardi (Blueline Medic<\/strong>), Carl Burnett (Arrows<\/strong>) and Liam White (The Scandal<\/strong>). King of the Sun is family affair, a community of friends chipping in, the kind of\u00a0community Hay was borne out of. The release of this album has a similar philosophy; tiny Adelaide label Hobbledehoy Records (who released the Thieves 7\u201d) will present the album with all due love and dedication.<\/p>\n

Jamie Hay\u00a0<\/strong>introduces the country to his record on tour alongside\u00a0Lincoln Le Fevre<\/strong>from October to December.\u00a0 The thrill of spontaneity permeates every set; but there\u2019s sure to be smiles, truthful remunerations, some fists in the air and of course that voracious voice that could only belong to Jamie Hay.<\/p>\n
