Cloud Cycle Promo WEB‘Ahimsa’ is the debut single from Cloud Cycle (the re-branded name for Sydney’s Blood Brothers). Awash with pure emotion and brilliant guitar and vocal tones, ‘Ahimsa’ is a song that will take the listener away to a transported place of peace.

Literally a message of non-violence and compassion, ‘Ahimsa’ is Cloud Cycle’s wish sent out into the world. A post-rock dream for fans of Deftones, Explosions in the Sky and TesseracT, the track will be released on Friday April 29th into all online stores and streaming services.

When you feel you are going without, go within – a mantra that illustrates the Boyd brothers’ journey into forming the powerfully crafted, universal voice that is Cloud Cycle.

The two brothers, Johnny and Jeff Boyd – (originating under the name Blood Brothers) – gained exposure from their 2015 LP release ‘A State of Being’, playing intimate festivals and dynamic headline shows around the East Coast of
Australia.

The two decided to take a step back from their chaotic schedule, to delve inwards and craft music that is expressive of who they are and what they represent. Inspired by artists as diverse as Deftones, Underoath and Tesseract, Cloud Cycle combine ethereal  vocals, energetic guitar riffs and hard hitting drums – delicately fusing complexity with integrity.  Their music is written and produced by Johnny in his bedroom studio – creating an authentic and organic representation of their sound.

Their new single is a perfect example of their desire and willingness to create a platform of reflection for their listeners. Titled ‘Ahimsa’ – an ancient Sanskrit word that signifies compassion and non-violence – the pair aspire to ignite dialogue in an age fueled by avarice and greed. Cloud Cycle are currently working on their debut EP and are a powerful force to watch in 2016.

The single ‘Ahimsa’ will be released on Friday April 29th into iTunes and other online stores and available very soon on Spotify for streaming. An EP release date and live performance dates will be announced soon.
