Ahead of their October 2012 Australian tour, Everclear have announced they will giving up and coming bands from across the country the chance to open for the power pop legends at their shows in Coolangatta, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
This is the chance for your band to play on a big stage in front of a huge crowd through a massive PA gaining not only valuable live experience in the process, but also the chance to show that your band are ready to take the next step onto rock ‘n’ roll stardom!
All you need to do to make this amazing opportunity a reality is head to the KillRockStar Entertainment page (www.facebook.com/krbde.touring) on Facebook and hit ‘like.’ From here you’ll be directed to an entry form to submit your band’s details.
After submissions close, the KillRockStar Big Dog Entertainment crew will then shortlist the 15 most suitable bands submitted for each city (Coolangatta, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth), and load them into a voting application which is open up the voting to anyone who has liked the KillRockStar Entertainment Facebook page. The three bands with the most votes in each city will be presented to Art Alexakis, who will then select the winners in each state himself!
Applications for the competition are open on THURSDAY 16th AUGUST 2012 and you have until the THURSDAY 23rd AUGUST 2012 to get your band’s details in. Public voting will open on the MONDAY, 27th AUGUST and close on the FRIDAY, 7th SEPTEMBER, with the three highest voted for bands in each city will be announced on that same date. Art Alexakis will announce the winners of the coveted opening slots within a week of voting closing.
