Dotcoms ‘JANIE GOT SUPER CUTE’ from the self-titled debut EP out June 9th

by

The tale of a boy and a girl from the same small country town. They dated for a while but were more in love with the idea of each other. She was prettier than he was and he was more sophisticated than she. Realising that it was never going to work, the boy ended it and moved to Melbourne. Heartbroken the girl followed and set about winning him back. All dolled up for the first time, this once tomboy headed out to impress. His jaw hit the floor, she blushed and felt pretty for the first time.

‘Janie Got Super Cute’, is the first single from Melbourne band Dotcoms’ debut EP, which couples minimalist and honest story telling with gritty rock and roll.

Coming together in 2009 Jason Leigh (lead vocals & guitar), Aaron Malmborg (drums) and Jim Young (bass) make music that’s personal and uniquely Melbourne.

Honing their sound in the city’s dirtiest venues, Dotcoms leave the stage covered in blood, sweat and beer. Their impressive live show has seen them play everywhere from Old Bar, The Retreat and Pony to Sea World.

Recording with Matt Voigt (Living End, Cat Power) and Matt Neighbour the first offering ‘Janie Got Super Cute’ taken from the forthcoming self-titled EP is set for release on June 9th. Physical copies available at the shows, Thornbury Records and online at http://dotcoms.bandcamp.com/
